Generate a Bed of Nails Testing File in Altium Designer

How can I generate a Bed of Nails Testing file using Altium Designer, including the setup of test points and the required output files for the testing fixture?

It depends on what stage you are, what you have done (or will be doing) and what you want.First of all you can (should) use dedicated test points.Configure Altium to have test points. Then you can so a selection of all test points and copy those to a new design where you have all the positions of the test points. The next question is how you do go from the test points on the DUT to the test system?

Regarding configuring test points in Altium, I understand that I should use dedicated test points and ensure they are properly set up in the design. Once I have a selection of all test points, I will copy them to a new design as you suggested. For connecting the test points on the DUT to the test system, could you clarify the best approach for defining the connection to the Bed of Nails fixture? Are there any specific standards or output files I should generate to facilitate this process?"

There are 3 option to connect the test pins to the test system:1) Wires2) Double set of spring contact, where the second set goes to the test system - another PCB.3) Solder the test pin directly to the test system/board. This is not recommended as changes are likely and this is almost impossible to change.
