electrical schematic drawing standards RULES any guidelines ?

My first counter question is: which standard for symbols do you want?
This comes down to either one of the 2 most commonly used: EU (IEC) or US (ANSI, NEMA, IEEE).

Personally I keep the symbols simple, but complete, and mostly follow EU (IEC) style.

Do you mean a "system" to check if the design is correct?
Do you mean something that you have connected everything (right)?
