DESIGN iMAX6Q PROCESSOR BASED CUSTOM HARDWARE WITH SEPARATE MEMORY CARD

DEAR ALL,
WE CAN FIND MANY DEVELOPMENT BOARDS WHICH ARE BASED ON IMAX6Q PROCESSOR LIKE SABRE LITE, NITROGEN 6, SABRE SD, REX AND ETC. ALL OF THEM USE ON BOARD RAM WITH THEIR HARDWARE DESIGN.
DO YOU HAVE ANY EXAMPLE BOARD WITH MEMORY CARD SLOT ? (WHICH WE CAN PLUG AND UNPLUG MEMORY LIKE A CARD)
ANY SUGGESTION TO REDUCE THE SPACE OF THE PCB LAYOUT ? CAN WE USE FLEX PCB IN BETWEEN MEMORY AND PROCESSOR LAYOUT AREA ?
REGARDS,
PETER.

To support memory slot, you may want to be sure that the memory controller is suitable for it. Theoretically it should be possible to use a memory slot, however I would ask NXP if they recommend it. My main concern would be if the signals from CPU are strong enough - introducing a slot between CPU and Memories may lower quality of the signal (?). But this is just my opinion - you can try it, it may work. However, there is some risk, that there may be problems.
PS: I have never seen memories connected through FLEX (I am not sure if FLEX can provide same parameters as standard PCB)
