Hello sir,

I began my career as an embedded hardware designer, but I'm unsure if it's a wise path to continue on. While I have a passion for embedded hardware design, I'm concerned about its long-term prospects in India due to limited salary and job opportunities.

What should I do? Should I stay in my current job or pursue a career as an embedded firmware designer?

What you can be really good at? Because if you are really good at something you will not have problems to find a very good job.

That could greatly depend on the region (ie. country) you live in.

Yes, very good hardware design engineers can get very well payed. But, you may need to be prepared to travel and you may need to be required to speak different language. For example, when I was starting, I knew I need to improve my English, so based on my experience I found a job in the UK and spent 5 years in the country. Usually people say - I can't find a job in different country because xyz, but it's about priorities, about what you really want, what you want to do for it and don't forget, almost always, to get something you have to give up on something else.
