Hi guys, I'm doing the Learn Altium Essentials Second Edition with Altium Designer 24.6.1 and trying catch up some parts that are different between the lessons and how things look on this version of Altium.

One of the things I'm struggling with is the tented vias option. Lesson 4 shows how to insert vias and how to configure them for proper size and tented options, the issue is I cannot freely enable them as shown in the attached image.

Could you guys give me a hand understanding why this option is disabled? How can I enable it back?

Because you have set it "rule" probably. Switch to manual and you should be able to choose directly.

Thanks @Mini. I changed all vias manually as you recommended. I'm just curious why tented vias option is not enabled while Robert's Altium appears "Tented" checkboxes available while using "Rule". Is there a rule we need to set to get this behavior?

Tenting and applying the rule would be contradictory. Altium may have changed the capabilities to no longer allow this contradictory situation.
