Physical hardware vs. simulations in the courses

maugdaug , 03-22-2025, 05:36 AM
Hello! I recently found out about FEDEVEL from a friend and am wondering how much physical hardware is used in the coursework vs. simulations. I've taken some other classes on embedded systems and microcontrollers and was disappointed to find out that much of the content involved simulations. The fewer simulations the better.

In the course I bought, there was only one lesson with ltspice.

Simulations are important part of hardware development. Maybe it is overloaded with tones of theoretical information and boring. Simulations are mainly used when integration and functionality of some components are under the question.
It will save a time and money just by running simulation instead of manufacturing devices that probably not functional and testing them.

Thanks for the info!

Most of my courses are practical design, no simulations. For example:
