Best way to get started

Hi,

I started with the Advanced PCB Design course like 2 weeks back, I have gone through all the lectures once.
I also completed the placement of most of the components in the processor board.

I am having a hard time trying to figure out the baseboard placement.
I feel the reason for that is there are too many peripherals in the baseboard compared to the processor board.

Do you think it would be right to spend some good amount of time understanding the baseboard schematic and make a mental picture of the complete schematic before doing the placement ?

Looking for some advice.

Hi Rajat,

it is not necessary to fully understand the schematic, but it could be useful for you. The baseboard is using the most common peripherals, so it can be good to learn more info about them e.g. what signals specific peripheral use, how they are connected, ....

Have a great day,, Robert
