Schematic Library Question
zeino , 02-07-2016, 10:23 AM
When updating the schematic library and coming back to the schematic I see the component not updated. For example, I want to change the pin distances so a resistor could fit in between the pins and I go to schematic library and change the pin distance on dual gate transistor and save. Is there a way the schematic would recognize the change and prompt or change it? What should I do for refreshing my schematic to changes in the library except deleting the part and placing it again?
I assume such capability has merits (it is a relational database I assume) and flaws (By changing the library one may affect several sheets and cause problems), what is implemented in Altium for this capability?
I think I will be doing this a lot from now on.

You need to update the component from schematic library. One way to do it, go to the schematic library, right click on the component (in Schematic library panel) and "Update Schematic Sheets".
