ALTIUM Creating a pattern between unions

blackbird , 05-09-2024, 12:24 PM
I have repeating ADC channels in Altium, 8 channels. I created different unions for all channels. I made an arrangement for the 1. channel. Then, I selected the first channel and the first union and copied the positions and rotations in the pcblist to the other union channels. Thus, I have 8 ADC circuits with the same pattern. Now, my goal is to distribute these unions equally, 4 to the right and 4 to the left from the middle of the PCB. .How can I achieve this? I used the align components and distribute horizontally option, but it applies it to all components and breaks the pattern.

That's why I prefer using multi-sheets it creates rooms automatically so you can align them. I guess you can make room for each union.

You can use the grid, look for the board width, divide it by the number of the channels and then put the grid as that number, select a component from a union to be the reference then move the others next to it

thanks for your feedback ,In this way, I can include each union equally in the room. What should I do after selecting a room? How can I align the rooms? Of course, I also want the components to be fixed within the room.

Set your grids and move the rooms wherever you want

Use a bigger grid, like 0.5mm or 1mm.
