Wondering is it possible to measure the characteristic impedance of a transmission line using ordinary lab equipment?
Suppose you have a PCB and want to check the manufacturing result, how can we measure Z0?

The hackaday.com article refers the reader to a youtube from W2AEW youtube channel. This channel has a few variations on home brew TDR measurements (what's needed to judge tx line impedance).
