Creating Logic Symbol

Nigel Bishop , 06-05-2020, 01:47 AM
Can anyone help, I am just creating a logic symbol for a dual diode, I want to fill the shape for diode body, and make line for cathode thicker

Hello,
To create solid shape you should use Place -> Polygons in the schematic.
You can used this to create multi-sided objects like triangle, square, hexagon etc and this will allow you to fill in the shapes are well in the setting which is shown by attached image.

To change the thickness of the line:
Select the line -> In properties -> "Line" option

Thank you.

Hi, thank you for that, I found it in the end, next question, how do I fill a Nand gate symbol, I assume this is created with 2 different lines a line and an arc?

If this symbol is from the Altium's IEEE symbols (Place -> IEEE Symbols), I think, it can not be modified. I heard, that some people use it as a template, they re-draw it (they draw on top of that by using wires and polygons) and then just delete it.

If you draw the symbol by yourself, and you would like to fill it up, I would use combination of filled ellipse and filled rectangle.
